Christian Z. Müller

 

Christian Z. Müller
(b. 1963) is an architect and musician. He plays saxophone, modular synthesizer, and his own custom-built metal percussion set. He is based in Augsburg, where he currently serves on the board of jetzt:musik!, the Augsburg Society for New Music. His work as an artist and educator focuses on the relation between music and architecture and the cultural aspects of industrial heritage sites. Among other projects, he curated the exhibition (((raumklangformschall))) (2000), several concerts for industrial noise ensembles featuring metal percussion and deep brass instruments such as tuba and tubax (2007-2010), and the project „AORCHITEKSTEUR / ARCHITEKTUR-ORCHESTER“, a three-storey concert installation for large ensemble, for which he also composed the score (2014).
