"Heat and the Heartbeat of the City (Live Excerpt)"
Excerpt from Heat and the Heartbeat of the City live performance by Andrea Polli. In this work, the breath of a live performer is manipulated by a computer program using real and projected climate data for New York City’s Central Park in the summers from 1990 to 2080. By using the body, the piece attempts to present a microcosm of the effects of climate change on a city’s population. Data modeled by the Climate Research Group of the NASA Goddard Institute and Columbia University
