Magdaléna Manderlová
(1991) is a Czech-born visual and sound artist based in Oslo. She works with relational and sensory practices of listening and field recording, grounded in a deep interest in ecology. Her work, often site-specific and fieldwork-based, takes the form of interdisciplinary projects, sound installations, compositions, concerts, participatory works and writings. She is artistically and organizationally involved in the long-term projects Kozmic Sounds in the Czech Republic, Fuglefotdelta in Norway and Røst Artist in Residence in Sápmi-Northern Norway. She is currently the deputy chair at nyMusikk’s Composers Group and deputy board member at Atelier Nord. Magdaléna holds MA degrees from Trondheim Academy of Fine Arts and University of Ostrava.
